Happy Birthday Ferno Canada – 20 years old today!

Today, we would like to send our friends and colleagues at Ferno Canada our very best birthday wishes.

Our sister company based in Mississauga which is close to Toronto, was founded on 26th June 1994. That makes them 20 years old today.

We hope our friends and colleagues in Canada will have a wonderful day celebrating 20 years of solid growth and success as a Ferno Group company.

Ferno Canada’s 20th birthday also coincides with a business trip to Ferno Canada for our Managing Director – Jon Ellis and our Operations Director – Alan Clark.

Jon and Alan, on behalf of Ferno UK, will present Ferno Canada with a gift of three framed pieces of limited edition art, all of which depict the heroic involvement of Canadian soldiers during the Great War (First World War). Below are images of two of the pieces of art which are our gift to Ferno Canada.

This impressive print called “The Ghosts of Vimy Ridge” is the work of an Australian Captain William Longstaff and it depicts Canadian soldiers' ghosts marching up Vimy Ridge from the Douai Plain, returning to the memorial. This is a very powerful image which captures the memory of this epic four day battle which cost 10,602 Canadian lives. 

The second print features caricatures of soldiers of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry standing at the Menin Gate Memorial to the fallen, with maple leafs falling around them.
