Innovations in child transport safety

Our Operations Director Alan Clark and Managing Director Jon Ellis welcomed Patrik Thornström, Production, Purchasing and Technical Manager at AB Germa Sweden – a Ferno Group company – and Pär Andersson, Chief Executive at PACAB, to our offices at Cleckheaton.

PACAB is a product development company based in Sweden which develops transportation security products for sick children. The company was founded by Pär in 2004.

Jon says: “We were discussing some new innovations in child restraint systems to improve patient safety and comfort for babies transported on ambulances and in incubators.

Having met some customers we are delighted with the response received which proves that we are on the right track to solving the issues faced with transporting such delicate paediatric patients. We thank both Patrik and Pär for their visit and for sharing these new ideas with us and we look forward to the opportunity of bringing these products to market here in the UK.”
