Congratulations to Tore Larsen, Chairman of Ferno Norden who
is the only member actively involved today working on the CEN/ TC 239/ WG1
Committee since it’s inception back in 1989.
The 48th meeting is
currently taking place in Warsaw, Poland where committee representatives from
12 EU Member States have started work on the revision to the EN 1789 Road
Ambulance Vehicle Standard which will take over 12 months
to complete.
Tore’s experience and input into these CEN Standards have
been invaluable spanning a period of over 25 years where we have seen ambulance
safety, patient care and operator safety taken to another level since the
standards were first introduced.
We wish Tore all the best in his continued capacity working
with the Norwegian Delegation at these CEN meetings.
