September is going to be busy month for the team at Ferno as we have no less than seven events, conference and exhibitions to attend.
It all kicks off in the first week of September when we head off down to Cornwall to showcase our Funeral & Mortuary equipment to Cornish funeral directors and morticians – see earlier post here.
Then from September 7 to 9 we are at the Mountain Rescue Conference 2012 - the largest gathering of Mountain, Cave and other LandSAR organisations in the UK. With some 300 participants the event will stimulate much thought discussion and advice through the extensive programme of lectures, workshops, and exhibitions, presented by national and international practitioners expert in their field of SAR.
The conference is taking place in Yorkshire at Well Met Conferencing, City Campus, Leeds Metropolitan University, Leeds and we will be showing off a range of equipment including Titan Basket Stretcher (Split), Model 71 Split, Paraguard, Vac Mattress, Wiz-Loc Collars, Waterjel and AS190 Vac Splint Kits. We hope to be tweeting at the event so follow us on the hashtag #MRC2012
Right after that we will be heading down to Brighton on the South Coast on the 10th and 11th to attend the British Association of Critical Care Nurses Conference at the Well Brighton Dome. This is a great chance for us to talk to Critical Care Nurses, Regional CC Managers and other professionals as well as demonstrating our CCT Trolley, Vac Mattresses and other products. The next day we will be at the National Ambulance Service Patient Safety Conference 2012 at Aston Villa Football Club, Villa Park. This is a joint partnership between West Midlands Ambulance Service and the College of Paramedics.
There will be four main areas of focus: Cardiac and Stroke - Reducing the Delays to Definative Care; Trauma Management - Reducing Mortality and Morbidity; Keeping Patients Safe at the Beginning and End of Life and Maintaining Improvements in Patient Safety. Look out for our products which will include the Harrier LT-LBS, Compact 2 Track, Scoop EXL and our new UHI. (hashtag #naspsc)
Then there is a brief rest before we head off to Silverstone on September 20 to attend AMBITION 2012. AMBITION is the ambulance service’s own national annual conference and exhibition.
Now in its third year, this is a one-day event that is unlike any other because it is the only show with the full support of all NHS ambulance services and therefore the guaranteed attendance of a broad range of frontline staff and senior managers from all NHS ambulance services. (hashtag #amb2012
On the same day a representative from Ferno will be in Aberdeen to attend the Enclosed Space, Mines Rescue Exhibition which is being held at the Beach Ballroom, Beach Promenade. Here we will be showing our wide range of SAR equipment to specialists in off shore, mountain, SAR and mine rescue professionals. (hashtag #esmre).
Finally we end the month on the 25th and 26th at the National Association of Police Fleet Managers Conference at the Peterborough Arena.
The National Association of Police Fleet Managers’ Conference and exhibition is now in its 39th year. The event is recognised as the oldest and one of largest Emergency Service Fleet Events in Europe.
The event brings together conference delegates from the UK and International Police Services as well as colleagues from the other enforcement agencies, emergency services and government departments. (hashtag #napfm)
